The Equality through Media Project (TEMP)

 

The Equality through Media Project (TEMP) is an educational initiative that encourages New York City students to produce innovative media projects. These include analog (e.g., drawings, writing) and digital media (e.g., photos, audio interviews, videos, digital artifacts, etc.) similar to the story Home. 

 

These projects reflect the realities of student lives. This includes learning to cope with feelings regarding their personal immigration experiences like a sense of displacement. By engaging in media production, hopefully students will better understand themselves, and their peers, to create community.
